The first goal of Bob’s House is to pair dogs with their forever families, but sometimes this is just not possible. Under our Here to Stay Program, Bob’s House for Dogs becomes a permanent home for residents that qualify under the criteria of extreme medical cases, severe anxiety, or otherwise disabling condition rendering the dog un-adoptable. The dogs under this program will receive high quality food, meticulous healthcare and a home to call their own for the remainder of their days.

Pete is a mini poodle that used to visit 21 Canine Company facilities every month, as well as residents receiving therapy care through St. Croix Hospice. He is very gentle, docile and a favorite of all the residents that he visited. Due to aging, Pete is now retired and enjoying his days at Bob’s House. Pete will often curl up in the lap of anyone willing to give him a hug.
